Going FFAR to Rescue Pets in Need

Furry Friends Animal Rescue

Furry Friends Animal Rescue (FFAR) is a 501(c)3 non-profit, all-volunteer, foster-based cat and dog rescue group founded in June 2013.

We are dedicated to rescuing unwanted cats and dogs from the North Texas area, primarily from Collin County Animal Shelter, and finding them permanent, loving homes through our foster and adoption program.  We also  help animals from other organizations if we have room in our foster homes.

We value the knowledge and experience our Volunteers can bring to the group and for that reason we are a Member-based organization.  Members will have rights to vote for the Board of Directors no less than six months after they have joined FFAR.  Members must be approved by the Board, and Membership dues will be payable after approval.
