Going FFAR to Rescue Pets in Need

Furry Friends Animal Rescue

My journey into rescue began when two of my cats passed away within 30 days of each other back in early 2009. I was heartbroken and decided to look for a couple more cats to adopt.  I found a couple cats and more!  I then realized how many cats needed homes and there were not enough people to help them.

I have a love of photography of animals, so I decided to put that to good use, and I started volunteering my time.  That was almost 5 years ago.  I now do photography of our cats and dogs, and help admin our online Petfinder and Adopt-a-Pet listings for our pets needing homes.  I also admin our new
Facebook page.

From when I was a little girl, I always had a cat in my arms, so it is no surprise that at some point in my life I would be working with animals.  Cats provide me peace from a very stressful job.  Working with FFAR has been such a rewarding experience, and I look forward to volunteering for many years to come.
