FFAR Volunteers

Danielle Canzano

I have been volunteering since 2010 - what joy it has brought to my life and it is so rewarding!

If you are like me, you love animals. I wanted to adopt every animal, but unfortunately it just wasn’t an option!  Before volunteering we had rescued two cats. My husband and I now have four!

My love and passion for animals is what got me involved with volunteering. I started out cleaning cages and later started volunteering for pet adoption days.

I attempted fostering when my husband and I found a beautiful young Calico on our back patio. After a month with us, I had fallen in love with her. I am what they call a “foster failure.”  I get too attached and don’t want to let them go.

Even though I do not foster, I help out any way that I can. Simply by giving love and affection to a cat or dog, make both the animal and myself happy.

During my time as a volunteer, I have realized that helping animals is a passion for me, and I have met some of the most amazing people in the process. There is nothing more gratifying than helping to save a life and find a forever home for a cat or dog.
